Some Like it Hot (1959)
Some Like it Hot is great because of its absolute ridiculousness (but it is not quite so immature as some of Adam Sandler's work or other current rom-coms). Two men cross-dress as women to run from mobsters and end up in an all-girls jazz orchestra on its way to Florida. One of them falls for a fellow band member, while the other is pursued by a rich divorcee. Although their situation is "serious," the absurdity of all of it is extremely comical. The jokes are actually funny, unlike a lot of the current rom-coms, and the film is likewise far more timeless. Even fifty years after it was made, it's still hilarious.
The film ends with the line "\Well, nobody's perfect," which is very true (although it is arguably the best one-liner of the entire movie). Many characters in the film hide who they truly are, and even change their personalities to fit into what someone else wants. We as humans generally try to cover up our imperfections using illusions or even a masquerade.
